The descendants of Heinrich Rothe gathered on June 11 and
12 in D'Hanis. The Friday even "roundup" at the ranch of Greg & Cora Rothe
had about 220 attendees. On Saturday 185 got together for lunch in the
Holy Cross Parish Hall.
Oldest descendants included Mary Emma Finger Knapp and
Annette Rothe Cox. The youngest was Clover Marie Bailon, born Feb. 23,
2010 to Bryan and Julie Marie Parks Bailon of Olympia, Washington.
Those traveling farthest were eight members of the Judy
Christopher Parks family from Olympia, Washington.
Also present were the first triplets in the Rothe family:
Annalee Kilbe Barden, Rothe Earle Barden and Rhylee Elizabeth Barden, children
of Paula and Lee Barden of Katy, Texas. The triplets were born Feb. 11,
2010.
The next reunion will be in 2013, hosted by the Fritz Rothe
family.
